REED BASKETS
March 14 - 19, 2010
In this class, taught by Sheryl Irvine, you will spend the week making four traditional reed baskets. Although this class is geared for the beginning basket maker, students can expect to go home having completed several pieces, including quart, 1/2 Peck, and Peck sizes used in Southern homes through the 20th century. Students will need to bring the following tools: One 2 gallon plastic bucket for water, one dull kitchen knife with pointed tip, a pair of 4-6 inch scissors, a 12 inch ruler, notebook and pencil, a stapler and a sharp pocket knife.
Class fee $375.00 – a non-refundable registration fee of $75 is due at the time of registration. The remainder of the class fee ($300.00) plus any material fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. (does not include lodging)
