Ozark Folk School
Learn traditional Ozark crafts, music and gardening in the beautiful and relaxed atmosphere of the Arkansas Ozarks. The Ozark Folk School offers an experience of a lifetime at a very affordable cost.
Heritage craft workshops in Blacksmithing, Wood Carving, Weaving, Pottery and Quilting will be offered along with many others.
Music classes are offered in Old-Time Southern Banjo (intermediate to advanced), Old-Time Fiddle (beginning, intermediate and advanced), and Singing Southern and Mountain Folk Songs.

The Ozarks are beautiful in November, so take a break and spend three days at the Ozark Folk Center in the heart of the mountains. You can stay in the Cabins at Dry Creek and take advantage of the meal package at the Skillet Restaurant, so all you need to do is relax and learn the craft of your choice.

Folk School

The Folk School offers hands-on, in depth study with a master craftsman. Classes include Making a Banjo; The art of Storytelling; Beginning Blacksmithing; Create a Stained Glass Quilt; Basic Broom making; Four Harness Weaving; Knife making; Wood Carving and much more. Short Session Folk School
March 21-23, 2010
The short session Folk School offers you a chance to take a follow up class in your craft, take an advanced class or to take a class from a teacher whose class was full during regular session. This session is also a chance for people who cannot get away from home for a week to come study, relax and focus on learning a craft. Lodging and meal plans are available. Lodging: 5 night stay or 2 night stay packages available. If you come with a roommate this cost can be shared.
