OZARK FOLK SCHOOL

2008 Ozark Folk School, March 16 – 21, 2008 at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. Learn traditional Ozark crafts, music and gardening in the beautiful and relaxed atmosphere of the Arkansas Ozarks. The Ozark Folk School offers an experience of a lifetime at a very affordable cost.

Heritage craft workshops in Blacksmithing, Wood Carving, Weaving, Pottery and Quilting will be offered along with many others.

Music classes are offered in Old-Time Southern Banjo (intermediate to advanced), Old-Time Fiddle (beginning, intermediate and advanced), and Singing Southern and Mountain Folk Songs.

Craft Workshop Fee: $250
$75.00 deposit required and the balance to be paid to the instructor on the first day of class. Some classes will have an additional materials fee listed under class description. Sorry – only one class may be taken during the week. All classes are conducted at the same time.

Music Workshop Fee: $150 - Beginner -/- $250 - Intermediate & Advanced
Prepayment required at time of registration. Sorry - only one class may be taken during the week. All classes are conducted at the same time.

Lodging: 5 night stay $305.25 (includes tax) per room. If you come with a roommate this cost can be shared.

Meals: There are four meal plans available to Folk School participants. Select the plan that best suits your needs and indicate your preference on the registration form. Please be sure to note special menu requirements (e.g. Vegetarian, Low Fat, Diabetic, Other). We will do our best to provide for special diets. You will be notified if your needs cannot be met. You may choose more than one plan (i.e. Breakfast and Lunch only).
